Every April and October designers from around the world gather in New York City to show off the latest wedding dress trends and styles with their new collections. Even though this fell right in the middle of opening our doors and throwing grand opening celebrations, we knew we still had to go! Although it was a quick trip, bridal market is always a wonderful and one-of-a-kind experience and we'd like to share it with all of you!
First stop, the ever so lovely Amy Kuschel. Amy debuts one collection a year and I'm always on pins and needles to see what's next from her. Last year was the Peace & Love collection that was 70's inspired and so spectacular! This year she showcased Deco to Disco with inspiration from the 20's all the way through the 70's. With a little bit of everything, her new collection celebrates flapper era, Old Hollywood, and bohemian styles. And as always she nailed it!
Next we visited Liancarlo who grabs our hearts every time with his dreamy designs. I love hearing from Carlos himself what inspires him to create each and every dress. He truly has a passion for what he does and is an all around artist in every way! We saw many illusion necklines and a pretty spectacular detachable skirt paired with a long lace sleeve mermaid gown. And another staple from Liancarlo is the intricate floral inspired embroidery of which many of the gowns from the recent collection debuted.
We always love visiting Anne Barge and this trip was as impressive as ever! We can't even begin to pick a favorite from the new collection. She has a wonderful way of combining traditional silhouettes with some modern twists. Anne always stays on top of the current wedding dress trends and styles but maintains classic and timeless gowns that any bride could see herself in. It was such a fun surprise when they brought out a matching flower girl dress. And we learned that matching flower girl dresses are available for purchase with any Black Label or Anne Barge Couture gown! How cool is that?! We can't wait to share this news with our brides!
Blue Willow by Anne Barge was such a delight! One of our absolute favorite dresses from NYC this season was "Ryland" the high-low skirt with pockets from Blue Willow. Anne Barge continues her use of luxurious fabrics and stunning feminine shapes with this new collection. We also saw a couple of detachable skirts here too….definitely a wedding dress trend of the season!
Last but not least, Hayley Paige and her jaw dropping designs! Both the Hayley Paige and Blush collections stunned with many colors, floral details, more long sleeve beauties, and intricate backs. Hayley was married just this past year and wore three extraordinary gowns throughout her magical wedding day. Get ready Hayley fans….her gowns are available with her newest collection and you can now get any of those looks for yourself! From long sleeves, to colorful ball gowns, to sexy and sparkly, Hayley has it all!
I had such a great time at Bridal Market shopping for the upcoming season and keeping an eye out for wedding dress trends and styles to bring back to our brides. For our brides who love color, blush gowns along with many other colorful options aren't going anywhere anytime soon. And good news for those brides who want to debut multiple looks on her wedding day....separates, boleros, removable sleeves, and detachable skirts are all the rave. Illusion and sheer were a couple of words we heard over and over this year as well. So tell me what trend from this season are you most excited about!
